J2 Subsea Inc has a requirement for a Lead Technician with experience in servicing and repair of Schilling Robotic Manipulators and Subsea related tooling. Please note this role will be based at our new workshop in Brittmoor Road, 77043.
J2 Subsea, an Acteon company, was established in 2008 to provide ROV tooling products and services for the ROV and underwater survey markets. We are seeking applications from experienced candidates whom are keen to work in our busy Workshop in Houston. As Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out equipment build, testing, servicing, repair and interface as per client requirements for upcoming projects with a focus on Schilling products. Undertaking activities in a timely, safe and organized manner, you pay particular attention to maintaining the high QA standards already in place.
To apply for this position you should have a qualification in Mechanical/Hydraulic based discipline. Candidates should have up to 5 years’ experience testing/operating, repairing and maintaining equipment found in the J2 rental pool. The main focus being on Schilling Robotics Manipulators, you will also need to be comfortable with the disassembly, repair, assembly and pressure testing of equipment in accordance with refurbishment specifications, with supervision as necessary. You will also possess a good knowledge of operating/testing subsea equipment safely and effectively within a Hydraulic/Mechanical workshop environment.
Demonstrating experience of projects within a fast-paced environment both on and offshore, you will clearly be able to work to client requirements. With exceptional attention to detail you must demonstrate your experience of working to a high standard. Indeed, with the need to provide technical support to our customers, we also require you to have good communication skills. With the ability to work flexibly, you must also be able to drive such that you can undertake occasional field based product support to customers.
